Hotel security systems have two jobs at once: keep guests and staff safe, and stay out of the way of a good stay. Phoenix Security & Technology designs and installs hotel security systems for hotels, motels, resorts and event venues across the Valley, covering entrances, parking, back-of-house areas and the amenities guests use every day.

What modern hotel security systems cover
- Entrances and lobby: clear, face-level coverage at every public door and the front desk.
- Parking lots and garages: AI vehicle and person detection, and license plate recognition at entries where it helps with incident review.
- Back of house: receiving, laundry, kitchen, storage, liquor rooms and the cash office.
- Amenities: pool decks, fitness rooms and business centers, covering the public areas only.
- Corridors and stairwells: coverage that supports investigations without watching guest room doors more than necessary.
Access control for staff areas
Staff turnover is constant in hospitality, and physical keys do not keep up. Access control systems give each employee a credential for exactly the doors their role needs: staff entrances, housekeeping storage, the engineering shop, IT and the cash office. Credentials can be turned off the day someone leaves, and every entry is logged by name and time.
Panic buttons, intrusion alarms and monitoring
Front desks and night audit staff often work alone. Hold-up and duress buttons on DMP alarm panels send a silent alarm to the 24/7 central station at AZ Security Control, and intrusion alarm systems protect closed areas such as restaurants, bars, gift shops and offices after hours. With alarm monitoring and CCTV monitoring, the central station can check video before dispatch, and we can monitor your fire alarm panel around the clock.
Hotel security systems and guest privacy
Guests expect privacy, and Arizona law backs that up. Under A.R.S. 13-3019, secretly recording people in places such as restrooms and locker rooms is unlawful, and clearly posted notice is an important factor. We keep cameras out of restrooms, locker rooms and changing areas, aim pool and amenity cameras at public spaces only, and recommend posted signage. For questions about your property, check with your attorney.
One view across several properties
Ownership groups and management companies can see every property from one app, with consistent camera layouts, user permissions by property and fast clip export when a guest, insurer or police officer asks. Recording stays on site with optional cloud backup, so an internet outage does not stop recording.
Secure, NDAA-compliant equipment
Hotel security systems share the building with guest Wi-Fi and the property management system, so the security network is kept separate. We install only NDAA-compliant cameras and recorders, change every default password and keep firmware current through our CCTV maintenance services.
Installation that respects occupancy
- Site walk with your general manager or chief engineer.
- Written design and quote with camera locations, door hardware and monitoring options.
- Phased installation scheduled around occupancy, events and quiet hours, with tidy cabling in guest-facing areas.
- Training and support for front desk, security and engineering staff.
We also design security systems for restaurants and industrial facilities.
